Thingwall Park is a completely magical bit of unexpected bit of greenery with stream and all. Fantastic

Snuff Mills

Bristol BS16 1UH, UK – 0117 922 2000

Snuff mills does not seem very much when arriving in the car park, there is a little shop that sells ice cream etc and a public toilet. Started our walk, which follows a small river, which the dog loved. There are a number of little man made waterfalls and sections there are great for fishing. All in all, it was an excellent walk, very picturesque and good natural coverage in rainy or hot weather. Highly recommended.

Beautiful scenery and a great walk along the river. Kids able to get in the water in a few places. Only a few downsides are there are usually a few people smoking drugs or some awful dog owners there

Page Park

26 South View, Bristol BS16 5RT, UK – 01454 868000

For as long as I have lived in Staple Hill, that being my whole life, Page Park has been a wonderful place to spend my free time. Whether it was sitting around and playing my favourite music through my headphones or taking my siblings out to play, I've always found it easy to enjoy my time there. I'd recommend trying the café there before taking a light stroll through the sensory garden.

Beautiful historic park with clock tower, tennis courts, cafe, sensory garden, two children's play areas, a teen area, cricket and football pitches, and 700m Run England running route. Frequented by dog walkers, parents, sports teams and, in the evenings, older kids. Lots of shade along tree-lined avenues. Well looked after by park maintenance people and beloved by locals. Ice cream van is a permanent fixture in the summer. Cafe has lots of activities, some toys and a decent selection of sweet things plus breakfasts and lunches. Home to Page Park preschool, which runs forest school sessions in the park. A recent Lottery award has funded restoration efforts and improvements. Opportunities for volunteer gardening, social walks and photography practice.
