Holiday Inn Bristol Filton

Filton Rd, Winterbourne, Bristol BS16 1QX, UK – 0871 942 9014

Just went the other day, room was great, enjoyed the pool, though busier than normal, and the sauna was good too. Useful as we had a bucket of water to warm the sauna up if too cold. Friendly staff, place is clean, food service in the evening could be faster as there were only around 5 tables being used, and was waiting around 1h 20mins, so the service was somewhat slow. Breakfast was all I could've asked for. Maybe it would be nice is the pancake machine was made public again Overall, a great stay!

Really pleased with the hotel. Room was fine, staff were very nice and helpful. Pool was nice and there was a nice-looking playground outside which we didn't have time to visit.

Premier Inn Emersons Green

Emersons Green, 200/202 Westerleigh Rd, Emersons Green, Bristol BS16 7AN, UK – 0871 527 8162

Friendly, clean . I checked in online which made checking in much quicker. Staff that a saw were friendly. Good car parking.

Typical Premier Inn. Very organised in regards to hot weather with lovely fresh water with lemons and limes in reception and lovely cotton sheets for cooler nights sleep. Well done!

Holiday Inn Express Bristol - North

Bristol Parkway Business Park, New Rd, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34 8TJ, UK – 0871 902 1604

This hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, except I didn't like the scrambled eggs. It was situated in a quiet area with easy access to supermarkets. It was also easy to access the motorway from there by car. However, we found it hard to find the hotel and would have liked clearer directions.

Comfy beds. Everything expected from Holiday Inn and beyond. Plenty of seating in common area. They have a bar if your keen for a drink and able to chill on their lounges. During breakfast, witness staff giving parents colour in paper, etc to keep kids occupied. Even able to do take away breakfast, which you can put in paper bags and also coffee cups. Supermarket is just across the road. Adequate parking spaces. offers competitive rates for any type of hotel, from small independent hotels to a five star luxury ones. The site is available in 24 languages and offers over 71000 hotels in 71 countries. Could be useful for you. There are of course several such sites.

The Willy Wicket

Wick Wick Close, Emersons Green, Bristol BS36 1DP, UK – 0117 956 7308

I visited for an evening meal and it was a pleasant enough experience. I had their 'Chicken & Mushroom' pie. It was nice (looked fantastic) however, there just wasn't much filling inside it.

Easy to book online. Lovely food, we had lambs koftas, sea bass & roasted salmon - all excellent. Friendly welcome from the staff. Loads of seating in nice surrounding.

The Red Lion

76 Broad St, Bristol BS16 5NL, UK – 0117 956 9983

Its not too bad a pub, however last time i was here all the barmaid wanted to do was complain about the local curry house and tell us how bad it was, only to conveniently produce a leaflet for the new (at the time) Chinese takeaway in Staple Hill. This really put me and my friend off, hopefully it was only an isolated incident with that member of staff as other than that, its a good pub.

Very friendly local pub, organised a skittles evening in aid of St Peters hospice, very supportive

Folly Emerson

Westerleigh Rd, Emersons Green, Bristol BS16 7AJ, UK – 0117 957 3961

Had a very nice meal tonight. Staff were excellent both behind the bar and serving the food. The food was very nice, well presented and tasty. Will definitely go back and recommend this place to all.

We came here on a Tuesday evening and had lovely meal. The service was great with very friendly staff. It's a place where we will definitely come back to. Thanks for a nice evening.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bury Hill Farm Holiday Let Group Accommodation in Bristol / near Bath

Bury Hill Farm, Cuckoo Lane, Winterbourne Down, Winterbourne, Bristol BS36 1AG, UK – 07884 236788

Fantastic stay with a group of 12 of us. Everything we could possibly need was there and plenty of information given! Thank you for sharing your home, we had the best weekend. Reasonable taxi into Bristol town in the evening and Clare was really helpful with local knowledge. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I organised my friend's hen do for 11 of us last weekend and we had an absolutely incredible time! The house is really lovely and already had some cute bunting up which everyone loved :) Thank you so much to Clare for all the great info, fab communication and for providing everything we needed for the perfect weekend! We had a great time playing hen games in the big garden, having cocktails on the patio and going for a gorgeous walk along the river in the sunshine :) I would wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful house! Thanks Clare! :) xx

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Rose House

42 Stanley Rd, Warmley, Bristol BS15 4NX, UK – 07850 727767

Stayed twice and will be going back there in the near future

Stayed in the annexe. Beautifully decorated and finished. Well appointed with plenty for breakfast, cereals, eggs, bread, milk, butter, yoghurt, jam, orange juice. An overnight stay somewhat marred by the owner complaining that we had eaten the eggs and disposed of the egg box??? Very strange "food police"!!! Don't think I will venture there again in case I fancy any coco pops. Wasn't impressed that the box of Pringles was three-quarter eaten when we got there!! Lovely place - disappointing owner.

479 Fishponds Rd, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 3AL, UK – 0117 965 3938

V pleasant room, I stay away 30 weeks a year for work so I see a few, spacious & clean here, plenty of on road parking free parking available, no breakfast offered but fridges in the rooms all have fresh milk in (apparently, mine did at any rate) v reasonable price also, location handy for pubs & supermarket

Fantastic place for warmth and friendship. Owners have such a "can do" helpful attitude

The Coach House

Bristol Rd, Hambrook, Bristol BS16 1RY, UK – 0117 956 6901

Comfortable beds, a window looking out on to the garden and countryside, so plenty of light in the room. The breakfast food was satisfactory, and there was a decent amount of off-street parking. The decor was nice, and comfortable feeling. The property, although a converted coach house, did not give off an "old musty" vibe, but instead felt more contemporary. Value for money, and away from the busy city. If you need somewhere handy to the city, this would not however be the best place, but there are certainly conveniences close by - places to eat etc. A generous sized bathroom, which could have benefited from a few more amenities, such as room to put your own toiletries and somewhere to put your shampoo and soap while in the shower (instead of the floor). The shower flow seemed to be intermittent - sometimes fine and sometimes changing to cold then warm again or trickling to a dribble before coming back on again. A hook or two near the shower to hang up your towel or clothes would have helped. Desk and chair in the bedroom meant I was able to use my laptop without having to sit in bed. Wifi was included and connected well. The breakfast room was a bit tight space-wise, and it was also very noisy when everybody was in there. It was difficult to get in and out to get food or a drink refill as the tables and chairs were close together.

Very friendly staff and comfortable Was a last minute booking and would definitely stay again. Breakfast was spot on. Check out the kings head down the road food was fab for an evening meal please book though gets busy

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
